Location
The Department of Biomedical Engineering is located in National Cheng Kung University’s Cheng-Hsing Campus, near the College of Medicine, the Biomedical Excellence Building, and the College of Engineering on Tzu-Chiang Campus. Situated at the intersection of medicine and engineering, the department offers convenient access to teaching and research facilities in the College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University Hospital, and the College of Engineering.
With its proximity to the College of Medicine and clinical settings, the department maintains close collaboration with clinical medicine. Students and research teams are able to observe healthcare needs, design experiments, collect and analyze data, and combine these experiences with solid engineering training. Through interdisciplinary integration, the department advances biomedical engineering research and medical technology innovation.

By Car
Southbound: Take National Freeway No. 1 southbound and exit at the Dawan Interchange. Turn right onto Fuxing Road, continue to Xiaodong Road, and turn right. Continue straight to reach Cheng-Hsing Campus. The department is located on Cheng-Hsing Campus, near the College of Medicine and the Biomedical Excellence Building. If traveling southbound on National Freeway No. 3, transfer to National Freeway No. 8 westbound, then connect to National Freeway No. 1 southbound.
Northbound: Take National Freeway No. 1 northbound and exit at the Rende Interchange. Turn left onto Dongmen Road and continue west toward downtown Tainan. Turn right onto Zhonghua East Road, then turn left onto Xiaodong Road. Continue straight to reach Cheng-Hsing Campus. The department is located on Cheng-Hsing Campus, near the College of Medicine and the Biomedical Excellence Building. If traveling northbound on National Freeway No. 3, transfer to Provincial Highway 86 westbound, then connect to National Freeway No. 1 northbound.
By Train
After arriving at Tainan Station by Taiwan Railways, exit from the rear station entrance. Walk along University Road, turn left onto Shengli Road, then turn right onto Xiaodong Road. After walking approximately 100 meters, you will reach the entrance to Cheng-Hsing Campus. After entering the campus, proceed toward the College of Medicine. The department is located on Cheng-Hsing Campus, near the College of Medicine and the Biomedical Excellence Building.
By High-Speed Rail
After arriving at THSR Tainan Station, transfer to the Taiwan Railways Shalun Line and travel to Tainan Station. From Tainan Station, exit from the rear station entrance. Walk along University Road, turn left onto Shengli Road, then turn right onto Xiaodong Road. After walking approximately 100 meters, you will reach the entrance to Cheng-Hsing Campus. After entering the campus, proceed toward the College of Medicine. The department is located on Cheng-Hsing Campus, near the College of Medicine and the Biomedical Excellence Building.
