NCKU Department of Biomedical Engineering Faculty Recruitment Announcement
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is seeking several full-time faculty members (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank). Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in a field related to Biomedical Engineering.
I. Position Openings
Full-time Assistant Professor (and above), 2 to multiple positions.
II. Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Ph.D. degree in a field related to Biomedical Engineering, with the ability to conduct independent research in Biomedical Engineering and teach courses in English.
- Areas of Expertise: Biomedical Engineering related fields. Candidates with backgrounds in Smart Healthcare, Biomedical Electronics, Medical Informatics, Biosensing, Medical Imaging, and Digital Health are preferred.
- Requirements:
(1) Capable of teaching at least two core Biomedical Engineering and undergraduate foundation courses in the department, and must offer at least one course taught entirely in English each academic year.
(2) Possess enthusiasm for teaching and service, and be able to participate in departmental teaching and service activities.
(3) Possess the ability to conduct independent research and have research findings published in international journals.
(4) Possess experience in nurturing innovative and entrepreneurial talent, and/or experience in technology transfer or commercialization.
(5) Possess a team-work spirit and be able to participate in interdisciplinary integrated research projects or talent cultivation programs.

- Research directions and proposals for the future.
- Important/representative academic publications within the last five years.
- Teaching statement and syllabi of courses that can be offered (must include a teaching statement for at least one course taught entirely in English), and relevant teaching experience.
- Three Recommendation Letters
- Any additional documents considered beneficial for qualification review (e.g., awards, research projects, patents, etc.).
- Transcripts from undergraduate, Master's, and Ph.D. programs.
